They are also used by walkers, horseback riders, bikers, or in the winter snowshoes and skis.
There are many public beaches close by to enjoy. Roque Bluffs, with its long sand beach and the freshwater pond at that park also offers a playground area as well as trails to hike. Jasper Beach in Machiasport is unique with its rolling rocks in the surf and the caves at the end of the beach.
