A Greek Love Story
The 12-room, Greek Revival dwelling, located in York, Maine, was built in 1780 and underwent two major remodels — one in 1870 and another in 1970. Although Mindy had toured several homes while house hunting, this was a Greek love story from the outset.
"Once I walked into the house, I knew I wanted to buy it," she says. "Without a doubt, I loved it. I loved being half a mile from the ocean; I loved that from downstairs you could see to the other end of the house." Other aspects of the historic home that attracted Mindy were its unusually high 9-foot ceilings and the kitchen, which included back-to-back fireplaces, four doors and eight windows.
